Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. Her childhood was spent listening to classic Boleros from the past along with traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana loves tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas as well as any drama. Following her singing lessons with mom at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in vocals at age 16 under the guidance by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in the School of Sacred Music. She sang throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young student and professional. After relocating into California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current home in southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. In addition to being a local performer and instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her involved in a range of different projects. Ana is also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as well as the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, to bring about a desire, specifically for the young generation, for keeping this music vibrant.
