Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish pop and flamenco singer. Since her teen years she has been at the edges of both traditional and popular music. She also plays with genres like hip-hop trap and soul. Her voice has been said by no less talented than flamenco musician Pepe Habichuela as sharp and sweet but with a bite like older versions. El Mal Querer gained her notoriety and commercial success when her debut album Los Angeles was released in 2017. The album earned her the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Motomami, her third album, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry and James Blake. The show premiered in March 2022. was released following the Saturday Night Live performance of Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the only solo performer in her first appearance on the program. Motomami was the only woman in history to be the recipient of the Latin Album of the Year twice, and also three Latin Grammy Awards.
