Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress best known for the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. The actress began her career in the early 1980s. Her character as Anil Kapoor in Tezaab made her extremely well-known. The next film she appeared in was Dil in which she shared screen space with Aamir. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she started learning dance at an early age. She ventured into acting as a youngster and struggled through a couple of years since many of her early film projects were unsuccessful. However, she eventually achieved success and became one of the leading actors within the Indian film industry. After marriage, she experienced a break in her career before re-entering the film industry. In recent times, she was in a prominent role in Gulaab Gang. The film featured the challenges faced by women across India. Dixit won eight Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen she was nominated for. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit. It is the fourth-highest civil honour in India. She is also recognized for her charity work.
